What is Income4GOGOs?
In many instances, GOGOs are the sole source of income in the household as recipients of the Older Persons Grant. Income4GOGOs provides GOGOs with an opportunity to generate income for the household and develop their own economic strength.
Project Aim
Build economic independence in GOGOs through income generation from selling shopping totes and fleece blankets
Increase household income for household necessities and schooling
Upskilling and training in sewing and blanket making

Bag Making
Reusable fabric shopping bags are being made in Alexandra by 3 GOGOs - Rose Vinqi, Anna Maruma and Yvonne Maruma.

Double layer fleece blankets called “Chaka Chaka” blankets due to the tassels on the edges.
